Lick Vault

Note: If you find these licks too difficult you might want to start with the Learn and Master Guitar Course.

Contrary to some people’s belief, guitar licks are incredibly important. Not only do they help develop your technique, but they are a part of the ‘language’ of music – the words and sentences we use to express ourselves in music. Not only that but with my added explanation, you can rework or ‘mold’ the ideas in endless ways to make them your own. And by learning my licks you get a sense of what I play and have internalized over the years.

If you’re worried about turning into a clone, don’t be. The natural process is ‘imitation, assimilation, innovation’. This is not about chaining together a bunch of licks in your solos. You will naturally make these licks your own. And by understanding how they work (how they fit over the chords) and how to modify them you can take them to a whole other level.

The TAB below for all the licks below will require Guitar Pro 5, an awesome tab program.
