This is how should be. I love your site and best of all have already learned a great deal. It’s all about practice and knowing what to practice. Thanks for the sharing.

hey. could you please release tabs for metal mayhem?
5 Will // Sep 15, 2007 at 8:47 am
Hi JP,
The tab for the intro is at my week 6 lesson called ‘Harmonizing Riffs’. I’ll see what I can do for the other parts.

Hi Jacob - thanks for great comments. Your guys’ comments keep me going. I could put up tab for the melody lines and let you know when I do. As far as lessons go, I’m hoping to do webcam lessons in the near future.

Will, just found you lessons on Utube. Pretty good lesson! I checked out barre chords (I guess that was E position). I want to learn how you do/practice the A position barre chord. Putting one (ring) finger down over three notes and skipping the last E note is difficult? (Can you picture what I am describing?)
But I am practicing. Any suggestions for how to make this easier? LOL Thanks Will. Will be looking for more of your videos. Good lesson.
Eddie

Hey Eddie, thanks for the compliments. Don’t use your ring finger for the A chord. Use 3 fingers (middle, ring, pinky) on the D, G, and B strings with the other strings open….or you can use your index finger to bar the 3 strings but then don’t worry about the E string ringing, it won’t be possible. With distortion it won’t matter.

Hey Will! Been a long time since I heard you shred a guitar the way it’s meant. You probably wouldn’t remember me, since we only met a couple times while you were still an engineering student at Waterloo with my brother Greg. My bro gave me your URL tonite and I couldn’t wait to check it out. While your lessons are a little beyond my scope (being kind to myself) it was well worth the visit. Seeing how his playing expanded and improved having known you is a testament to the impact you have on fellow musicians. I have to second another comment within these pages… you are one of the undiscovered guitar gods of this generation. In fact… every time I get into a discussion of the ‘greats’ I always say… “Man, you should’a heard this guy my brother went to school with. A-MAZ-ING”. Now they can hear for themselves! Kudos to you and best of luck in all your future endevours. I’ll be sure to check in from time to time for new goodies. Take care!

Hi Cory,
Wow thanks so much for the great comments!!! Sometimes I wonder if anybody’s out there, so your comments keep me inspired to keep writing and teaching. Right now I’m practising fusi0n/jazz so the writing has slowed somewhat. If you want to learn anything specific, drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do.
